1. The quality or state of being actual or true.
2. One, such as a person, an entity, or an event, that is actual: "the weight of history and political realities" (Benno C. Schmidt, Jr.).
3. The totality of all things possessing actuality, existence, or essence.
4. That which exists objectively and in fact: Your observations do not seem to be about reality.
'Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it,
it doesn't go away'
-Philip K Dick
'Reality exists in the human mind and
'Reality is merely an illusion-albeit a persistent one '
-Albert Einstein (almost)
Reality is a perception. What appears real to us is that which we experience through our waking senses. What we see and hear appears real and what we cannot sense we cannot believe in and what we cannot believe in we consider to be not real. Our universe conforms to our own concept of reality but that concept is formed from our own real experiences of the world we live in- the world that we already consider to be the real world. Our view of reality is biased. We have no reason to believe there are other realities and the consequence is that we have been imprisoned by our misguided concept of reality. This is unanimously recognised by all the great philosophers.
Nothing exists in the physical sense as we imagine. Everything we know, and believe in, exists only as thoughts, as ideas, and as dreams. This is the first axiom of all understanding. Understanding is crucial to belief and belief is crucial to understanding. Our belief is our reality but our reality is our belief. But we must look past our acceptance of conventional reality. We must understand that there can be reality outside of our own comprehensible universe and to do this we need look no further than our dreams.
It may not be possible to create a definition of reality which is acceptable to everyone and this simple fact tells us that we each make our own decision as to what is real and what is not real- we do not all accept the same reality. Pat Sall’s definition is therefore based on perception...
'Reality is the perception of an existence which conforms to an understanding based on universally accepted principals-science.'
However, many people believe there are realities which exist outside of science and which do not conform to the rules of science. It follows that a key question when contemplating reality is therefore- ‘How credible and reliable is science?’
DREAMS-the first clue
When we sleep all our senses that we use to judge our reality are still alive and when we dream our senses are transferred to our existence in our dream world and whilst dreaming we believe our dream world to be our reality. However, when we awake we consider our dream experience to be a memory of our own thoughts that were created by us whilst asleep in the real world and our dreams are therefore part of our waking world- it was just a dream, it wasn't real. But whilst we dream our senses and our emotions are very real and our waking world is non existent- whilst dreaming things are the other way round. When we are awake our memories of our existence in our dream worlds are, by comparison to our real world, weak and illogical and far removed from our usual reality and we do not recognise the simple fact that whilst we dream our reality is different. It is different because it is not the same reality.
Dreams are the first clue given to us. All ancient societies have studied dreams and all have given them a special, purposeful place in their science. Only in our more modern world has our science hidden the truth of dreams from us. Dreams are simply other realities, other realities which have a different set of rules-a different science. The science of our dreams is the clue to true reality. Our alternative theory of reality-Omnis- explains how dreaming can allow us to temporarily exist in another reality. Dreams are infinite and to understand the true reality which exits both within our dreams and within our waking lives infinity must be understood.
INFINITY- the Mother of all
There are other worlds, infinite other worlds, and there are pathways between them. To understand, to believe, and to find such pathways requires great time and great effort. Within the vast common ground between our own world and its near identical worlds there are overlaps and through these overlaps pathways between realities frequently occur, usually unnoticed, and when such events are noticed they give rise to common tales of the unexplained. The evidence and the witnesses are numerous and this website attempts to show, and explain, how the impossible can, and does, happen and how our understanding of reality is flawed. We have created a visual model of the true universe to demonstrate 'True Reality'. This model incorporates science, religion and all beliefs into one, harmonious unity of belief. We call this new belief in reality Omnis and with this belief comes a new, alternative theory of existence which is able to answer all the unanswered questions.
Imprisoned in our own deluded concept of reality we may be but there is a way out. Infinity shows us the path. A comprehension and an acceptance of the true depth and understanding of infinity is crucial to understanding true reality. Some scientists and mathematicians do not believe in infinity because when tested mathematically infinity contradicts itself. But infinity says that everything is possible-including anomalies of science which contradict themselves. When true reality is discovered we are on the pathway to understanding how and why the impossible can and does happen. Infinity is the Mother of all. Understanding infinity is the beginning. Infinity rules.
SPACE-a place in which we imagine our reality to exist
Space can have no beginning and no end. If the physical space of our universe were to have an end then our question would be 'what lies beyond space?' and our answer cannot be non-existence for we cannot comprehend non-existence and even if we could our question would then be 'what lies beyond the realm of non existence?' And so space is infinite. Space having no ending is easy to accept if infinity rules and if space can be considered as merely an idea, an imagination and as such is infinite. Space has no need for a beginning or an end because it is just an idea and ideas have no beginning or end they simply exist. In short-space is just a place in which we imagine our reality to exist.
TIME-a place in which our imagination allows our stories to live
Time also can have no beginning and no end. Time is endless and encompasses all. We cannot imagine existence without time. If there was a time when time did not the exist-that place was a time outside of time and time outside of time is still time. Time allows change. Time is our measure of all things. Time is our story, our science, our life. Without time there is no story and so, to us, no time means no existence. Without time there is no life, there is no us. In true reality time does not exist except as an idea, as thought, an imagination. You may know your favourite book or movie from start to end and in great detail but ,as it exists inside your head, where is the time? And so time also needs no beginning and no end. Time must be infinite. Time is just a place in which our imagination allows our stories to live. Space is infinite and time is infinite as neither exist outside of the non physical universe of thought-both are imagination. Infinity explains and allows all possibilities.
IMAGINATION-the fifth dimension?
Our reality is contained within our four dimensions of space and time but there is a fifth, elusive dimension, which exists independently of the other four. The fifth dimension is the non physical realm of imagination. Imagination holds everything that is not limited by the other four dimensions. A thing cannot exist 'physically' without it also existing within imagination. Imagination has no boundaries, no limits, no restrictions. Imagination is knowledge. Imagination is wisdom. Imagination is belief. Our story, our world, has been built from our knowledge and from our wisdom-from imagination's creations. There are no boundaries or limits to imagination. Imagination is infinite. Space is infinite. Time is infinite. Infinity rules.
SCIENCE-imperfection and pathways to other realities
Infinity of everything tells us there must be infinite universes and infinite realities and that each must have its infinite variations of near identical realities and that each version, each variation, has its own variations- and so on- ad infinitum. When infinity rules the only thing that is impossible is the impossible. Infinity tells us that anything and everything is possible. When the significance of infinity is grasped we have the tool to analyse another ingredient that makes up our universe and our reality-science. In consequence our science is not what we have always thought it to be. Our science is imperfect. Infinity tells us there are infinite universes each with infinite variations and within the variations the strength and stability of science allows for infinite imperfections and through such imperfection the rules of science may be broken and crossovers between realities occur. The inexplicable can be explained-and shall be explained. Read next- Science and Imperfection.
